PLASTIC RECONSTRUCTIVE AND AESTHETIC SURGERY SPECIALIST

My desire to understand the human body during high school influenced my decision to go to medical school. During my surgical internships, I was interested in plastic surgery because of my interest in tasks that required manual dexterity and because the surgeries were unique to each patient.

After graduating from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, I qualified for specialization in Plastic Surgery Department of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, which was my first choice, by passing the Medical Specialization Exam (TUS). Thanks to the training I received in one of the most established and largest plastic surgery clinics in Turkey, I had the opportunity to perform surgeries on many complex and challenging cases. This process formed an important foundation for my professional development.

After becoming a Plastic Surgery specialist in 2005, I was assigned to Osmaniye State Hospital and established the Plastic Surgery Clinic there. Then, I worked as a plastic surgery specialist at Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital for three years. During this time, I focused especially on hand surgery and microsurgery. The surgeries I performed in this field played an important role in my professional career.

Afterwards, I passed the Ministry of Health Chief Assistant exam and was appointed as the Chief Assistant of Plastic Surgery at Istanbul Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital. I trained plastic surgery assistants here. Working in a multidisciplinary team added value to me both professionally and spiritually.

I started working in a private hospital by transferring to the private sector in 2017. I focused especially on breast aesthetics and postpartum body shaping surgeries.

I have successfully managed challenging breast aesthetic cases. I also have significant patient experience in post-bariatric (post-bariatric) body contouring surgeries.

Since 2023, I have been working in my own clinic to provide the best service to my patients.

"One of the things that makes me happiest is the feedback I get from my patients about my careful work and attention to every detail in their processes. I think being a female plastic surgeon and a mother, as well as having experience in microsurgery and reconstruction, is the most important factor in this."

Frequently Asked Questions

Cosmetic surgery involves surgical procedures performed to correct or enhance an individual's physical appearance. These procedures typically include a variety of procedures, including facial, breast, body, and skin aesthetics.

The recovery process varies depending on the procedure performed and individual factors. Normal activities can usually be resumed within a few days after surgery, but it may take several weeks or months for a full recovery. In order to speed up the recovery process, it is important to follow the doctor's recommendations, eat healthy, and get enough rest.

Most patients are able to return to light work within a few days, although those in more physically demanding jobs may take several weeks to fully return to work.

Plastic surgery is suitable for healthy individuals. Before the surgery, the person's general health status is evaluated. It is preferred not to smoke and not to have serious health problems.

After plastic surgery, sports and heavy physical activity should be avoided until the body heals. Typically, light exercises can be started after 2-4 weeks, but more intense activities should be approved by a doctor.

The results of most cosmetic surgery procedures are permanent. However, aging, weight gain and loss, or lifestyle changes can affect the results. In some cases, revisions may be necessary in the future.
